I’ve Xcode 15.2 + MacOS Sonoma 14.2.1 + iPhone SDK 17.2 + Apple M3 chip
After I construct my mission with FMOD for Unreal 2.0.2.20 for iOS Simulator on have an error
/Plugins/FMODStudio/Binaries/IOS/libfmodL_iphoneos.a(libfmodL_iphoneos.a-arm64-master.o)
constructing for iOS Simulator, however linking in object file constructed for iOS,
file ‘/Plugins/FMODStudio/Binaries/IOS/libfmodL_iphoneos.a’
Discovered that in downloaded newest model “fmodstudio20220ue5.3mac.zip” from https://www.fmod.com/obtain#fmodforunreal inside folder “Plugins/FMODStudio/Binaries/IOS” there are not any information for iOS Simulator (so it is not builded for help it or they only forgot to do it)
HOW TO FIX? right here is the reply
So subsequent step from web page https://www.fmod.com/obtain#fmodengine I downloaded “fmodstudioapi20220ios-installer.dmg” inside 2 folders “/api/core/lib” and “/api/studio/lib” I discovered these information and duplicate it to my folder “/Plugins/FMODStudio/Binaries/IOS/”, and it didn’t work
So simply to strive luck I made a duplicate of this folder and deleted information that work for iOS construct solely
- libfmod_iphoneos.a
- libfmodL_iphoneos.a
- libfmodstudio_iphoneos.a
- libfmodstudioL_iphoneos.a
Subsequent step renamed information
- libfmod_iphonesimulator.a → libfmod_iphoneos.a
- libfmodL_iphonesimulator.a → libfmodL_iphoneos.a
- libfmodstudio_iphonesimulator.a → libfmodstudio_iphoneos.a
- libfmodstudioL_iphonesimulator.a → libfmodstudioL_iphoneos.a
And eventually I efficiently builded and launched my mission with FMOD for Unreal 2.0.2.20 for iOS Simulator
FMOD staff have to rebuild FMOD for Unreal with including _iphonesimulator and _appletvsimulator information and help and it’ll launch on iOS/TVOS Simulators with any issues.
PS similar you are able to do with TVOS Simulator and repair it
