Apple’s iPhone had 55% of the US smartphone market in third quarter of 2023 – Apple World Immediately

Canalys’ newest analysis reveals that the US smartphone market shrank one other 5% year-on-year in quarter three (Q3) of 2023, persevering with its downward trajectory.

Regardless of this development, shipments grew 21% sequentially to 31 million models, pushed by Apple’s newest iPhone launch and provider promotions concentrating on premium system upgrades. Canalys says Apple’s shipments declined by a modest 8%, amounting to 17.2 million models.

The late arrival of the iPhone 15, in comparison with the timing of the iPhone 14, contributed to the decline, notes the analysis group. Apple bought 17.2 million iPhones in Q3 of 2023 for 55% market share. That compares to gross sales of 18.6 million iPhones and 57% market share in Q3 of 2022.
