Apple Unique Movies’ “Killers of the Flower Moon” is nominated for 10 Academy Awards.
The film — now streaming on Apple TV+ — is nominated for “Greatest Image.” Martin Scorsese is nominated for Greatest Director. Lily Gladstone is nominated for Greatest Actress. Robert De Niro is nominated for Greatest Supporting Actor. The movie can be nominated within the classes of Greatest Costume Design, Greatest Manufacturing Design, Greatest Cinematography, Greatest Music (Unique Rating), Greatest Music (Unique Tune for “Wahzhazhe”), and Greatest Movie Enhancing.
Notes of curiosity: 1) That is Apple Unique Movies’ second Greatest Image nomination following CODA in 2022 (which took dwelling the trophy); 2) Gladstone is the primary Native American to be nominated for an Academy Award; 3) Leonardo Di Caprio was, surprisingly, not nominated for Greatest Actor.
One other shock is that Apple Unique Movies’ extremely acclaimed “Nonetheless: A Michael Jackson Film” wasn’t nominated for Greatest Documentary — for for any awards. And Apple Unique Movies’ “Napoleon” solely picked up nods for Costume Design and Greatest Visible Results.
